Ava Massenet is from London, and moved to New York during the pandemic. She is a senior at Spence and is the vice president of her school's film club. Ava likes to make short films and write screenplays in her free time as well as write songs. She is deeply interested in the power of change through storytelling. She is passionate about all the various techniques used in filmmaking such as scores, composition, and the narratives themselves.

This summer, Ava interned in Prague on the set of AMC Networks' production "Interview with the Vampire" as a runner. She provided support on both day and night shoots, working anywhere from 9 to 15 hours a day. Her favorite movie is Richard Curtis's About Time.
