Change Direction

On the first day of a new academic year on her journey to high school, Greta asks herself what she, as a young person, can do about climate change, and decides that she must change direction. A short film about the climate emergency and taking on social responsibility.

Greta lives in Edinburgh, Scotland and is 17 years old and about to enter her final year of high school. She attends a weekly EYT Film Class (Edinburgh Youth Theatre), and has been making short films for a little over a year. Greta is a wheelchair user and also uses an eyegaze communicator. This is Greta's second 'short' film (ie under 5 minutes). Change Direction was made in August 2021 when COP26 was about to start in Glasgow, 50 miles away.
